***ACC Picks From ‘Round The Conference***
The boys at From The Rumble Seat all predict victory for their Jackets in varying ways over UNC.
Tomahawk Nation takes the ‘Noles in a blowout over South Florida…more preview goodness here too.
To end the SB Nation kool-aid drinking trio, BC Interruption picks their team too.
And for some actual unbiased coverage(lol jk), Block-C actually has a writer not pick his own team to win.
To continue this trend, CGB takes the Canes by 11 and Gobbler Country has the Hokies losing by 3 TDs!
***ACC Picks Segment No Mas***
Miami-Florida is the second most likely BCS National Championship pick in Vegas right now.
Key to Clemson d-line, they are able to play all over the field with their athleticism.
ACC Sports Journal looks into what is going wrong with the Terps.
HD gives some cool factoids from around the ACC’s ADs.

TCU DE Jerry Hughes is a beast...and could be difference in Clemson-TCU game.(Pic per Deseret News)
Big slate of games for the Coastal Division with UNC-GT and VT-Miami while the Atlantic has some big out-of-conference games this week. Oh, BC plays Wake too.
OTB’s ACC Pick’Em
The Lead: The Yellow Jackets has run into a buzzsaw from the 2nd half of the Clemson game on recently and are looking to re-enter themselves in the race for the Coastal Division. The Heels could take this game back-to-back seasons and justify their top 25 ranking right now.
Watch 4: GT to Execute Better and Pull Out a Close One
It will be an ugly game at points, but Georgia Tech will get a big play here and there while the defense will play better(can’t get much worse!).
Pick: Jackets 17 Heels 14
The Lead: Florida State looks to keep momentum going from last week’s big win in Provo by taking out the not-really-that-far-South Florida Bulls(they are like parallel with Central Florida–how does that work?).
Watch 4: FSU Rushing Game to Keep Rolling
The three-headed monster of Ponder, Jones, and Thomas will not run quite as well as they did against the slow, white mormons, but will still put up some stats.
Pick: ‘Noles 38 Bulls 17
The Lead: The Atlantic Division plays meaningful games too, folks. These two are fringe Atlantic contenders that really need this one to stay in the race(remember–Wake owns FSU).
Watch 4: WF QB Riley Skinner to Perform Well
The Demon Deacons will have to play disciplined, Grobe football–and they will–and Skinner will do just enough.
Pick: Deacs 20 Eagles 16
The Lead: The Hurricanes come to Blacksburg for the Coastal Division Championship Game in this early season ACC matchup.
Watch 4: Canes Running Game to Rule
I love what Miami has for backs in Cooper and James–these guys are big, but lean–physical, but fast and can be effective in the passing game too. The emphasis will be on pressuring Harris from the Hokies D and the running game will be stressed in the Miami camp this week.
Pick: Canes 24 Hokies 19
The Lead: The Wolfpack look to add another OOC win to their record for good bowl mojo before entering the ACC schedule in the coming weeks.
Watch 4: NC State QB Russell Wilson to Redeem Himself
If he is protected, Wilson will have a field day once again and roll up the Panthers.
Pick: Wolfpack 21 Panthers 10
The Lead: The Terps continue the ACC-Big East challenge this week with another embarassing loss for the ACC.
Watch 4: Rutgers Player X to Score at Will
Scarlet Knight John Doe throws for (insert crazy yard figure here) or runs for (insert crazy yard figure here) or catches (insert crazy yard figure here) with (crazy amount of TDs).
Pick: Knights 45 Terps 31
The Lead: Clemson and TCU are playing for the early ACC/MWC Cup with the conferences deadlocked at 1-1(TCU over UVA, FSU over BYU).
Watch 4: TCU Defensive Line to Control Clemson’s Rhythm
The Clemson o-line is hurting with injury and illness while TCU has one of the better d-lines in the country anchored by Jerry Hughes. The Tigers will struggle to run the ball and get any rhythm hucking the ball too.
Pick: Horned Frogs 20 Tigers 16
The Lead: Duke already has one win–only six more to go with nine left!
Watch 4: Duke to win.
Sorry, but my Duke-NCCU coverage is lacking this week.
Pick: Devils 42 Eagles 12
ATS Section(for fun and not money of course…on my part atleast)
Take to Bank %: 30%.
I like Wake Forest as a team better so far, but a lot with BC is still TBD after this week.
Take to Bank %: 25%.
Road game at a BCS conference school for TCU spells lack of confidence on Vegas and my part in this pick.
Take to Bank %: 80%.
Maryland does pull out games like this when they are expected not too–but I’ll take my chances.
Take to Bank %: 65%.
FSU looking to keep the momentum going versus in-state opponent and I think they will.
Take to Bank %: 60%.
They have to win this one right? North Carolina might not have the offense to pull this one off.
Take to Bank %: 75%.
Don’t screw up this time Wolfpack!
Take to Bank %: 65%.
Miami offense through 2 games: Awesome. Virginia Tech offense through last couple years: Putrid. VT D>Miami D, but still, I’ll take a good offense in CFB over defense most of the time.
